BNB Donations
This pilot program began in late winter. The first educational institution supported by BCF was Jolly Mercy Center in Kampala.
Now, Binance is adding around 4,000 students and staff and 10 schools in 10 schools around Uganda.
Each school within the Help program receives an account in the Trust Wallet. They then receive $ 0.30 per day from the BNB daily for all-year use in school meals daily.
The Fund made a donation of $ 236,061 in Binance Coin. This was provided with the help of Binance customers, Tron Foundation, IOST and VIP sponsors.
Forgotten BNB crypto coins return to Binance
The BCF will transfer the money from the three sections to the school wallet. The staff will then take the lunch for their students with these crypto coins transferred.
The food supply companies of these schools will then convert BNB into a local currency currency through the exchange of Binance Uganda working with fiat and crypto.
BCF's donations help children to study
The idea of a charity fund based on Blockchain attracted the attention of many companies, more than 10 companies decided to join Binance's BCF. Five have already made their donations.
A volunteer who works with the program wrote that he saw happy children on social media when he came to a school where he studied with BCF and even saw happy chefs at lunch.
In the summer of 2018, Binance's CEO, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), said that when he set up the Blockchain Charity Foundation, the whole process of donations on the blockchain made it completely transparent.
Everyone can see where the donations are going. At that time, CZ had collected donations to the flood victims in Japan in collaboration with Tron's Justin Sun.
